Pennsylvania-based artist Jodi Harvey-Brown work is a piece of art. A book lover by nature and an artist by heart, Jodi loves bringing stories to life by creating beautiful 3D sculptures that rise from the pages of old and discarded books.

For Jodi, it all started when she bought a box of used books at a second-hand shop. One of the books at the bottom of the box was crushed, so she began folding its pages and since then she has been doing so like a boss.

Jodi has sculpted some famous literary characters like Harry Potter, Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland, Tom Sawyer, etc from pages of books.

"The books that we love to read should be made to come to life. Characters, that we care so much for, should come out of the pages to show us their stories. What we see in our imaginations as we read should be there for the world to see. My book sculptures are my way of making stories come alive," she shares on her website.

If you are one of those folks who have lived their childhood and early teenage days under the light of an arcade cabinet marquee then I'm sure you miss seeing them these days.

It's not that that arcade cabinet marquee are extinct now but they are hard to find. You can only find them in pubs and bars or at a collector's place.

I recently stumbled upon this shop on Etsy that supplies arcade cabinet marquees and marquee lights called ArcadeLights.

ArcadeLights is based in Washington, D.C. and makes arcade cabinet marquees of arcade classics Pac-Man, Donkey Kong Junior, Mario Bros and more that can be hanged on a wall.

When it comes to New Year's resolutions, all of us resolve to do something or the other at the start of every year. If you ask me New Year's resolutions are more about doing things to change oneself and doing our best to follow them. If this year, for say, my New Year's resolution is to start a new blog then just not starting a new blog would fulfill it, I need to post regularly and do everything that I do on this blog.

Bottomline - New Year's resolutions are more of commitments so if you resolve to do something this year, you ought to fulfill it but that's the challenge here, half of us forget them half way.

Megan Berkheiser and Mike Caldwell are two artists who own an illustration company called 'Pushart' where they are constantly pushing the limits of their creativity to create amazing illustrations.

Pushart specializes in creating 3D conceptual illustrations constructed using everything from paper, photos or any object that the duo thinks is fit. The illustrations created are used for editorial, advertising and marketing purposes by different companies and brands.

We have featured all sorts of sculptures on our blog, like the recently featured light and shadow sculptures, glass sculptures or the wood chip sculptures. Each sculptures as amazing as the other featured before it and once more we have something amazing for you.

Sarah Anne DiNardo is a Massachusetts-based talented artist. Sarah at a very tender age fell in love with tape, to be more precise with its touch."I fell in love with the tactile feeling of tape when I was three years old. Chiquita banana stickers were my first love (one on each finger of course), but as you can see that love has evolved into something much greater" shares Sarah on her website.

Design Different is owned by Ryan McArthur who sells retro posters, at prints, letterpress style prints, 80's design and what not.

"I specialize in Design, and have been doing so since I was a kid. Starting with crayon on a freshly painted wall, to designing with a mouse and keyboard on a computer screen. My artistic abilities gave me the opportunity to pursue a career which I love", shares Ryan.

Rickson Sharkey is a full time, independent jewelry artist from Ontario, Canada. She makes custom jewelry pieces and specializes in sculptural jewelry forms carved in wax and cast in precious metals.

She has done her Masters from the Birmingham School of Jewelry in the UK in Jewelry Silversmithing and Related Products. She's been designing, creating and selling her own jewelry since she was in her second year of college.

It was Rickson's Grandmother who made her fall in love with jewelry. She creates both commercial and art jewelry. She is in love with her work and loves connecting with people through her jewelry.

The 'Illustrated Quotation Project' is an interesting series of illustrations by Evan Robertson, who is a writer and illustrator. Evan along with his wife Nichole runs the Little Brown Pen, which is a multi-disciplinary creative studio where the duo shares their photos and projects.

This project includes a series of posters and prints inspired by Evan's love for literature and word play. There are some inspiring quotes from famous literary figures like Ernest Hemingway, Oscar Wilde, Leo Tolstoy and Sylvia Plath. These illustrations are a perfect mix of words and graphic.

According to Evan, "I took little snippets of text and ideas from some of my favorite authors and let the words be a springboard for an illustration. The illustrations incorporate and interact with the text and hopefully add up to something that engages the mind as much as the eye."
