One liner are always the best jokes. But it is difficult to find some good ones. A good one liner says a lot in few words and that is the best. They are short, sweet and witty, which makes them more fun. But making one liners is not easy. Though it may look easy because of the short length, but that is the hardest part. One needs to have a sharp, fun loving and super creative mind for that. Artist, Alyssa Duhe's illustration shows that she has all of these qualities.

"A Daily Pickup Line", that is what she named her collection of illustrations with catchy pickup lines. According to her website, "Alyssa Duhe is a graphic designer, a non stop doodler who believes in the power of smile. She has a knack of witty copywriting and a fondness for silly pickup lines. Her passions are triathlon, painting and zine making."

Last time when we talked about Kuala Lampur, Malaysia-based illustrator and graphic designer Lim Heng Swee aka ilovedoodle, we shared his personal project where he doodled everyday to create adorable and witty illustrations that he even sold as prints through his Etsy shop.

Yet again, he has created a really adorable and clever series of illustrations for the optimist you.

Jaco Haasbroek is not a new name for the E-junkie blog as we have featured some of his past works and yet again his work has caught our attention.

Haasbroek is a Cape Town, South Africa-based artist who works both as an illustrator and a designer who has an eye for everything colorful and a clever sense of humor. He creates hilarious illustrations by putting very normal objects alongside witty one-liners.

Haasbroek first sketches out his ideas on a piece of paper and then puts colors into it. His designs are pretty minimalistic and clean, and as for his inspiration - he shares, "I like making observations, looking for connections and changing my perspective to try and fuel new ideas. If you don’t keep exploring you might find yourself running on empty."

Great people like Nalson Mandela, Albert Einstein have given us some great phrases which would be cherished forever. The phrases are inspiring, thought provoking and some just tickle us with their healthy sarcasm. Some of them have impact on us and effect the way we think. But what these quotes have done to artist Tang Yau Hoong is, given him the idea to create another series of his artwork.

The Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia based artist, who is a combination of an illustrator, graphic designer, has created a series called 'Quote Illustration' in which he illustrates the same famous quotes which we all must have read somewhere or the other. The illustrations do not only remind us the phrases but also represent them visually.

The adjacent picture you are seeing is not graphic created on computer. It is all paper art. The main two tools involved are paper and scissors. Yulia Brodskaya, the creator of these beautiful illustrations, started working as a Graphic Designer in 2006, but then preferred doing the same with papers instead of on the computer

Here is what Yulia says, "Paper always held a special fascination for me. I've tried many deferent methods and techniques of working with it, until I found the way that has turned out to be 'the one' for me: now I draw with paper instead of on it."

London-based artist Mister Peebles creates whimsical greeting cards and prints from watercolor pencil drawings, featuring animals dressed in human clothing or just sporting their real selves.

Mister Peebles first begins with sketching the animals and then fills them with watercolor pencils and ink until he achieves the right form.

The most unusual thing about Mister Peebles greeting cards and print is that these animal illustrations are paired with clever one liners that take a light-hearted approach to his work. "He hopes to make you smile and cheer your day a little. The average person chuckles less than 20 times a day, Mister Peebles hopes to up this average a wee bit," he shares on his website.

First time when I saw these Batman Valentines on Chicago-based cartoonist Mark Anderson's website I was awestruck and stood staring at them for hours not because of the fact that I'm a Batman fan but I never expected something like this coming from Batman or his side-kick Robin.

These 1966 Doubl Glo Batman Valentines were on sale on eBay and Anderson bought them instantly without wasting anytime and published them online for all Batman fans.

These old-school illustrations are filled with color and cheesy pickup lines like "You make my heart go va-room on Valentine's Day!".

Egypt-based designer A Morshedi believes in the future as much as he believes in superheroes that's one reason why he has come up with a series of minimalist illustrations where he has reimagined our friendly neighborhood superheroes, Superman, Batman and Captain America as oldies.

Morshedi's recent work 'Super Old Men' features the superheroes with white hair and mustache looking as fit and hunky as always.

We human these days are technology and social media addicts. We can't do away with any one of them for even a minute, especially when it comes to smartphones.

Smartphone is the real hindrance in our social life. If we can take out some time and not constantly keep on checking our phones, we can actually have a great social life and have real friends for instance. Anyways, I'm not here to do hard talks here. In fact, I got something that  closely reflects our modern life and things related to it.

I recently stumbled upon the works of a Spanish advertiser, designer, illustrator, writer and professor at Miami Ad School, Eduardo Salles. What I really liked about Eduardo is his thought process and his simple presentation, which are both just amazing.

Southern California-based illustrator Brian Luong loves to explore dark and mysterious subjects and this is clearly evident in his recently concluded project 'October Drawing Challenge'.

This month long project features a series of Halloween-themed personal illustrations that the completed in the month of October.

According to Luong's site, "He favors natural and organic subject matters, often building upon what nature has to offer in order to create otherworldly and mysterious subjects for his work. "
Luong drew one Halloween-themed illustration each day, throughout the month of October and published them on his Tumblr page. He calls his art 'Drawlloween'.

Luong’s drawings beautifully done and the black and white theme really sets the mood.

David Olenick is not a new name on the E-junkie blog, earlier this year we featured some of his cleverly designed illustrations here.

The New York-based graphic designer Olenick is known for his witty illustrations. He perfectly knows how to blend graphics and humor together. Yet again the artist has created an unusual series of illustrations that features different animals like a deer, pug, etc. and everyday objects like ice cream, a slice of pizza, etc.

Through these illustrations Olenick has imagined what would animals and objects say if they could talk.

Megan Berkheiser and Mike Caldwell are two artists who own an illustration company called 'Pushart' where they are constantly pushing the limits of their creativity to create amazing illustrations.

Pushart specializes in creating 3D conceptual illustrations constructed using everything from paper, photos or any object that the duo thinks is fit. The illustrations created are used for editorial, advertising and marketing purposes by different companies and brands.

Hailing from the hub of Italian high fashion and culture, Santos has an innate perception of his art. Santos explains “Imagine if one day capitalism reaches the point, where the big brands start to sponsor the superheroes.How would this influence their images? Based on this hypothesis, I decided to experiment with some characters, and see what would be the results of such idea.” 

When I first saw Ryan McArthur's 'Retro and Zombie posters', I couldn't help but share them on our blog and this time again I'm sharing another series of posters by Ryan.

Ryan, this time has come up with a series of original prints which are based on quotations from great authors and philosophers of the past.

"I've always found comfort in little witty one liners because most tap into one commonality that we all share… human nature. I really wanted to find quotations and snippets from my favorite books that not only provided a great visual to play off of, but that speak to life in general. I illustrate them all by hand using pen and ink and then digitally render them." shares Ryan about this series.

The Gen Y is an archetypal techno slave. But instead of acknowledging the depravity of the situation , we use a more savvy term for this - being socially committed or rather technologically updated! Well that has a negative tone no doubt because over- riding your limits with anything is so not good.

In some sense these terms do paraphrase the addiction we all have but does not talk of how all of us have imbibed technology into our social etiquette, most prominently in our postures.

Today, we would like to share some cleverly designed illustrations by graphic designer David Olenick.

For David, humor and creativity go hand-in-hand. That's why he has created a series of humorous illustrations, which cleverly portrays the humor of bad decisions, excuses and basic human behavior.

These illustrations are a perfect combination of some unusual characters and witty one liners. That'll for sure tickle your funny bone and might leave you embarrassed.

If you grew up playing those classic arcade games, then you're in for a treat. San Francisco based artist Ty Lettau, who is the Director of Experience Design at Adobe, leading the design of many Adobe products and services, has created these awesome minimalist illustrations inspired by classic Nintendo games.

From Mario Bros to Pacman,  Contra to Mortal Kombat and many more. These posters do refresh some childhood memories and I don't know about you but I feel like playing these games again.

The 'Illustrated Quotation Project' is an interesting series of illustrations by Evan Robertson, who is a writer and illustrator. Evan along with his wife Nichole runs the Little Brown Pen, which is a multi-disciplinary creative studio where the duo shares their photos and projects.

This project includes a series of posters and prints inspired by Evan's love for literature and word play. There are some inspiring quotes from famous literary figures like Ernest Hemingway, Oscar Wilde, Leo Tolstoy and Sylvia Plath. These illustrations are a perfect mix of words and graphic.

According to Evan, "I took little snippets of text and ideas from some of my favorite authors and let the words be a springboard for an illustration. The illustrations incorporate and interact with the text and hopefully add up to something that engages the mind as much as the eye."

Illustrators are one cool breed of artists, just like Kevin Tong.

Kevin Tong is a freelance illustrator from Los Angeles, USA, shares his work on his website Tragic Sunshine.

Kevin has a Bachelor in Fine Arts from the California State University and has been freelancing since 2005. By the time he was done with his bachelors he was working for different clients.

Kevin's art work is amazing, a right combination of digital and traditional techniques. He uses everything from pencils to Photoshop, till he achieves what he wants.

Kevin has worked with some biggies of the music/movies, apparel and print industries. His work ranges from cartoons to dark art work, he's not bound to any particular style and has a 'no compromise' policy when it comes to creativity.
