When I first saw Ryan McArthur's 'Retro and Zombie posters', I couldn't help but share them on our blog and this time again I'm sharing another series of posters by Ryan.

Ryan, this time has come up with a series of original prints which are based on quotations from great authors and philosophers of the past.

"I've always found comfort in little witty one liners because most tap into one commonality that we all share… human nature. I really wanted to find quotations and snippets from my favorite books that not only provided a great visual to play off of, but that speak to life in general. I illustrate them all by hand using pen and ink and then digitally render them." shares Ryan about this series.

The 'Illustrated Quotation Project' is an interesting series of illustrations by Evan Robertson, who is a writer and illustrator. Evan along with his wife Nichole runs the Little Brown Pen, which is a multi-disciplinary creative studio where the duo shares their photos and projects.

This project includes a series of posters and prints inspired by Evan's love for literature and word play. There are some inspiring quotes from famous literary figures like Ernest Hemingway, Oscar Wilde, Leo Tolstoy and Sylvia Plath. These illustrations are a perfect mix of words and graphic.

According to Evan, "I took little snippets of text and ideas from some of my favorite authors and let the words be a springboard for an illustration. The illustrations incorporate and interact with the text and hopefully add up to something that engages the mind as much as the eye."

There are two types of start-up entrepreneurs: impulsive and calculative.

Both kinds have equal chances of becoming a success, perhaps that is the reason why many aspiring entrepreneurs get skeptical about making their idea a reality. There is no way of knowing if the idea will work or not; it's all about a leap of faith.

While compiling these inspiring quotations by successful entrepreneurs talking about start-ups, I realized that everyone has different opinions and ideas, but they have one common denominator: innovation.

If you are someone who is in a position where these guys were couple of years ago, then check out these inspiring words that come from experience.

Darren Rowse, founder of Problogger.net is one of the most prolific blogger who also happens to be a speaker, author, consultant and online entrepreneur. Other than being an expert in blogging, he also provides photography tips at Digital Photography School.

His blogging journey started back in 2002 from a blog called Livingroom, where he wrote about spirituality, pop culture, politics and life in Australia. "Back in 2002 I stumbled upon an article about ‘Blogging’. I didn’t know it at the time but that moment changed my life. I know that statements like that belong on those cheesy ‘buy my book’ sites (don’t worry I’m not selling anything) but it is actually true." recalls Rowse.

What the best thing about The Big Bang Theory? That its a show about four geeks. Think again, if you still couldn't get it right think twice, until that one name Sheldon Lee Cooper pops into your brain.

Sheldon Cooper is just not a regular guy. His IQ is 187, he is politely rude, he is a germophobhic, he is obsessed with his spot and what not! He is every girl's dream.

What I personally like about him is his bizarre sense of humour. Whatever he says be it about science or life or technological stuff never sounds boring or geeky; in fact, makes it more interesting and in one way or the other his words make sense. I would love to share some of his quotes from The Big Bang Theory.

Happy reading!

When it comes to quotations, I like only two kinds: ones that make me laugh or the ones that make me sit back and ponder for a while.

Although funny quotations are not that hard to come by (thanks to Twitter and Facebook), but the ones that make you think are rare. Mostly because philosophy is not everybody's cup of tea.

Great wisdom can only come from great philosophers, one of my favorite quote is by Albert Einstein, "Real sign of intelligence isn't knowledge, it's imagination."

Graphic designer, Max Temkin has brought together a series of such inspiring philosophical posters, that represent some of his favorite thinkers and ideas. He has recently started a Kickstarter project to raise funds for his thought provoking posters. First have a look at this video, where Temkin shares his inspiration behind this project, you will also find images of all his posters below:

As a child I was in love with Winnie the Pooh and the whole gang, his sincerity towards friendship, love, simplicity and honey always cheered me up. One of my favorite sayings by A.A. Milne, creator of Winnie the Pooh is: "sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart."

Alan Alexander Milne wrote tales for his son Christopher Robin Milne about a bear, most of the characters' names except for Owl and Rabbit were named after Christopher's stuffed animals.

What I loved the most about Winnie the Pooh is that each character has a wonderful and thought provoking message for everyone. They talk about friendship, life, believing, pessimism and bravery. But if you really ponder over these quotes you will find that not only are they inspirational in the simplest of ways, but can teach you a lot about running a business.

Who knew that a 6 year old kid and a talking tiger could teach you about life better than any therapist or motivational speaker out there!

It's not just the comedy factor that makes their lessons more interesting, it's their innocent and simple outlook towards the world and life, that we adults often tend to ignore.

Bill Watterson, the iconic illustrator of Calvin & Hobbes has been inspiring us to look at the journey called life, relationships, our jobs, our family and the world around us a lot differently, and perhaps in its own silly way, more clearly.
