When are selling your products online, you may have a need to include files that are large. For instance, maybe the file is a film you made. At E-junkie we have to put a limit on the file size that can be uploaded to our servers. But if your file is over 500 MB in size, you can host the file remotely. This means that your file will be located on your own server but when your buyers purchase the product from you,the product file is still provided using our download links which expire after a set number of download attempts or a set amount of time. But we also allow you to customize the thank you e-mail at both the product specific and common level.

First, look over our help page to see the variables that can be added to the thank you e-mail.

Now, to customize the common thank you e-mail click on the Edit Account Preferences option on the Seller Admin page. For the common thank you we will use the First Name, Last Name, Business Name and Payment Date.

We were lucky enough to catch Danny of BlogStomp, and asked him what about them made them a success. Here's what he had to say...

First off, can you tell me about your business and what you offer?

In short we make software for Photographers. Cross platform desktop apps and a cloud-based service that more or less is about helping produce deliverables from images. Those deliverables might be blog posts, Facebook galleries or photo books.

How long has your business existed online? What is the origin story?

BlogStomp was born out of this necessity in 2009 – its frustrated founders wanted to spend less time behind a computer screen, and more

One of the great things about E-junkie is that since we provide our code in basic HTML form you can customize the button codes we provide.

The most common customization people like to make is to change the button image and use one of their own.  Here is an example of our standard Add to Cart Button code:
<a href="https://www.e-junkie.com/ecom/gb.php?c=cart&ejc=2&cl=XXXXX&i=1382652" target="ej_ejc" class="ec_ejc_thkbx" onclick="return EJEJC_lc(this);"><img src="//www.e-junkie.com/ej/ej_add_to_cart.gif" border="0" alt="Add to Cart"></a>

All you will need to do is replace that URL with one of your choosing, so the code would look like this...

The online marketplace is crowded, if your customers can get in and out with a simple click of a button (instead of scrolling down lists of options) they are more likely to buy right now. Luckily, you can make your customers' shopping experience quick and easy with e-junkie.

When you are selling a product that comes in different colors, patterns, etc. you can use our variant feature to set up a product with Variants to allow a single product to handle it, using drop down menus for buyers to select the size and color.  But consider having buttons for each option, a button for a small white shirt, a different button for a small black one, etc. This can still be setup with our Variant feature and then just a little extra coding is needed to make each set of options into a single button.

Sometimes when you setup a particular product you want to allow people to purchase more of that one item at a discount rate. Since 'tis the season, you may want to offer a discount on your perfect gift items for your customers to snag in bulk for the holidays.

Instead of going through the trouble of setting up multiple discounts for a single product, you can setup the product using the Variant feature to get the same effect.

For our example we are going to name our product “Product 2” and set the standard price to $2.00 for one to three, $1.75 for four to seven, and $1.50 for eight or more.

Start by clicking Add Product; then enter the name of the product and check off the box for Variants.

Some of our merchants have products that can all ship for the same amount, maybe you are selling CDs and/or DVDs or maybe clothing. Our shipping does allow you to setup a flat rate so the buyer gets charged for each item they are purchasing. For this example we are going to charge a flat $2.50 for each item.

Starting from the Admin page you will click on the Edit E-junkie Cart Shipping Settings link on the right side of the page. Then click Next on the page that loads, because you will not need the first page in the Shipping Settings.

This week, E-junkie.info sat down (well, talked back and forth via e-mail) with web cartoonist Krazy Krow, the writer of Spinnerette.  Here's what we found out about him and his comics.

E-junkie: So first question, what made you decide to start your web-comic?

KraKro: It was a 14 hour road trip to Florida!  I was in the back of the car wondering, ‘what if a superhero had a mutant power that was really hard to hide?’ The whole comic idea started from the six arms, and fat suit.

E-junkie: Were you primarily influenced by other web comics, comic books, or newsprint comic strips?

KraKro: I was a manga reader first, and hadn’t read many superhero comics. It was my wife who converted me by bringing a big stack of Teen Titan comics when I was in the hospital, getting my tonsils out.
