Two years back, we featured the Dutch artist and statistician, Jeroen van der Most's 360 Degree Paintings on our blog and yet again Jeroen's recent art project has caught our attention.

Modern technology can do wonder and we all are perfectly aware of that but did you know that for the first time in the art history it's possible to see a never realized, future painting. And Jeroen's art project is all about that.

Using a new statistical technique, Jeroen has predicted the next Van Gogh painting. Jeroen first stated with analyzing all the Van Gogh paintings from the Amsterdam Van Gogh museum and then calculate the next step in the oeuvre of the painter.

Meet our blogger of the week, Angie Lilly. She is a true nature fan. She comes from an artistic family background and is herself, stuffed with talent. She likes to call herself a creative person, but to be more specific about her art, one can say, she is a fantastic photographer, a poet and above all a nature lover, as you can see in her works.

'Foto Macro' subtitled as 'nature (close-up)' is one of her blogs, which features a collection of wonderful nature photographs clicked by her. She captures the scenic beauty of nature very well. Her other blog, 'Poetic Pussy Cats' showcases her other love interest, cats! There are some cute and interesting photographs of cats alongside some poems composed by Angie on this blog.

As an artist, what do you do when you think that you are not motivated enough to create art?

Read something, go on Netflix, listen to some music or simply start looking for what other artists are doing on the Internet? If you picked the last and some how stumbled upon our website then you are at the right place.

I'm no artist but I do love art and I do need my daily dose of some visual treat and I guess so do you. At E-junkie we make it a point to share the works of some talented artists on our blog and at times we even interview them. But with so many more talented artists out their at times it becomes difficult to feature each and everyone so we thought of starting this new feature where once a week we'll be featuring 10 artists on our blog. Here's our first edition. I hope you'll enjoy:

Remember Mister Peebles? The guy with an interesting name and whose interesting art work we featured some time back on our blog. Mister Peebles draws animals dressed like humans or portraying a personality different from the regular ones. The drawings look simple but are fine examples of creativity and observation. There is a fun element too added to his works and that is the witty one lines along side his sketches.

"Mister Peebles' illustrations are created in North London using watercolor pencils,  pen and some ideas picked up at the zoo. He then creates & packs up each print himself for you to enjoy," he shares on his website.

There is no doubt that Mister Peebles' illustrations are engaging and successfully bring a smile on the viewer's face and the best thing they come as greeting cards that are fun to receive and give. Here is an interview with the artist. Read on to know more about him and the stories behind his work.

What do you usually do with your electronic items which are damaged or can not be used anymore? You probably dispose them off or store them for some time in the hope to get them repaired and then throw away. At the most, what one thinks of doing is to extract some usable parts from the gadget and discard the rest. Whatever you may be doing with the damaged electronics, I am sure you do not think of creating something totally new out of them.

What on Earth could be created with damaged gadgets! Is that what is going on in your mind? Tal Avitzur has the answer. 'Robot Sculptures' are what he creates. The cool robots he makes out of the scrap metal objects are so finely designed that one would easily assume them to be a part of the props used in some sci-fi movie.

Tal comes from a science oriented family background with all the siblings being engineers or doctors. But he has blended science and art together through his work. There are small details to be taken care of in his creations, which are a pleasure to watch. Read on the interview with artist and find out how he landed up into the world of robotics.

Alexandre Farto, better known as Vhils is a Portuguese street/graffiti artist who for his canvas uses abandoned and depleted buildings and creates large-scale portraits by way of scratching and chipping plaster off walls. His technique has been hailed as one of the most compelling approaches to art created in the street in the last decade.

Farto was born in 1987. He grew up in Seixal, near Lisbon and moved to London in 2007 to study at the Central Saint Martins (University of the Arts in London). He made his first graffiti at the age of thirteen, under the name of Vhils. He came under the spotlight, when one of his works was featured alongside a picture by Banksy at the Cans Festival in London in 2008.

Sometime back we featured Brett Kern's mindblowing ceramic sculptures that look like inflatable balloon toys on our blog.

There's no denying that Brett is one talented artist who knows his business right.

Brett was born and raised in Pennsylvania. He enrolled at the California University of Pennsylvania in 2003 as a Graphic Design Major. One year into college, Brett discovered his love for clay and shifted his focus to ceramics. He graduated in the spring of 2007 from CALU with a Bachelors in Fine Arts. In 2010, he completed his Masters in Fine Arts from the West Virginia University in ceramics.

Bovey Lee is a talented artist based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania who creates wonderful cut paper art. She was born in Hong Kong and has been practicing Chinese calligraphy since the age of ten. She completed her BA in Fine Arts from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She moved to the States in 1993 as a painter and earned her Master in Fine Arts degree from the University of California at Berkeley. Later, she earned her second Master in Fine Arts in computer graphics and interactive media at Pratt Institute in New York. In 2000, she relocated to Pittsburgh where she created her first cut paper artwork in the summer of 2005.

Bovey's work comprises of perfect geometric patterns and explores the tension between man and the environment in  relation to power, sacrifice, and survival. According to her, "My recent work is informed by our precarious relationship with nature in the twenty-first century, i.e., what we do to the environment with our super machines and technologies and what nature does back to us in reaction."

Bovey herself hand cuts her work using a cutting mat, X-acto knife and blades on a sheet of Chinese xuan (rice) paper backed with silk.

When it comes to being humorous and straightforward at the same time, Portugal-based graphic designer and illustrator Rita Gomes a.k.a Wasted Rita knows it right.

I know the name rings a bell, we had featured Rita's 'Says Wasted Rita' series on our blog some time ago. Yes... the one with the tongue in the cheek humor.

Rita who has studied in a religious college and is currently residing in Lisbon and describes herself as a "natural agent provocateur, sarcastic as needed and a full-time thinker who must write about life, human behaviors and play with words to keep breathing."

"The Power of Books" 2003

Mladen Penev is an Austria-based photographer and retoucher who is known for creating unusually stunning and hard hitting artworks.

It was his university project, "Power of Books" that he worked on in the year 2003 that caught our attention. This project featured a man standing with an open book exploding blood on his face (the image on the left).

Later he created an entire series based on this idea which is absolutely amazing and hard-hitting. This series spread on the internet like wildfire and also became a hit (Explore Penev's website for the entire series).

Remember the Firewall installation by Aaron Sherwood that we featured earlier this year on our blog? Wasn't it mind-blowing?

Just to refresh your memory Aaron is a Brooklyn-based artist who worked along with Mike Allison to create the Firewall installation. This installation responds to the human touch to create fire-like visuals and at the same time play music.

Well, after featuring Aaron we got in touch with him to learn more about him and his work and from what we learnt about him, Aaron no doubt is a multi-talented individual. Aaron is a musician turned creative coder.

Oregon-based artist BT Livermore is the jack of all arty-trades. From being an illustrator to a printmaker, a letter nerd to a self-publisher, BT has been there and done that. BT is also the maker of many visually-appealing things in Portland, Oregon.

BT was born and brought up in Minnesota. At the age of 5, he wanted to grow up and become a cartoonist. And grew up to become not only a cartoonist but an illustrator and a self-publisher as well.

He moved to Portland, Oregon in 2005. He has done his graduation from the Pacific Northwest College of Art with a BFA degree in Illustration.

He shares his artwork with the world under the name - Big Time Illustration.
