No one needs to be reminded that having a Facebook page is as imperative as having a website, but a lot of people need to realize that merely owning a Facebook page is not suffice. One needs to have an active Facebook page that regularly interacts with its users and brings interesting products, services, ideas, offers, news, posts, images or videos to the table.

Small business owners are always looking for ways to get publicity, and one of the easiest ways to do that is through social media. Any promotions or deals that a small business offers via social media can easily go viral. For a while now, there’s been chatter about the decline in TV viewership, both for network and cable, particularly among those ages 18 to 49. Studies show that the rise of Internet and mobile device usage are driving forces behind the decline. It’s not all doom and gloom, however. The same things that drove the decline could become TV’s salvation.

Business websites need to be customer friendly. This is even more important than it is in a shop because customers will literally leave and click elsewhere if they are not given what they want immediately. Owning a business which operates online in a large capacity needs an easy-to-navigate and clear website. Any customer or client who visits your site should know almost immediately what service you provide and what the vital information about your business is. As my on-line information business is continuing to grow, I am starting to see a recurring question, time and time again:

"How Do I Get More Traffic?..."

Since 2008, I've concentrated on publishing high quality content, some entertaining and some very informative and educational. What I've found is that the entertaining stuff gets the high volume views and links and the informative stuff is attracting emails and client work. It's a pretty successful mix as I get to have my logo "A Sitting Duck" on thousands of pages on the internet with a viral knock on effect and in turn it gets people to search for the website on Google.
