The name says it all. One of these days, looking out for some creative start-ups this year, I stumbled upon this small charity-oriented, a do good start up from Australia. And trust me the whole concept is absolutely genius.

In the digital age of ebooks and tablets, where any information, book, novels, poetry and any kind of literature is at a click's distance, there still is a large part of the world that is bereft of enjoying this treasure trove of knowledge called - Books!

We've come across many creative campaigns where people have tried their level best to promote reading. So much so, that a book has been created that has to be read within 2 months, else the words in the book disappear...literally. We also featured a 'Weapon of Mass Instruction' where free books are distributed from a converted Ford Falcon from the Argentine armed forces.

Today we would like to share another beautiful and noble attempt by a bookstore on Salt City - Weller Book Works, who have scattered more than 800 books all over the city to promote reading and literacy. The campaign is called: Operation Book Drop.

Not only have they gathered and distributed hundreds of books all over the city, but have also created interesting book covers to lure a reader into picking up a book to read.

"It’s simple, we love books and our greatest passion is in sharing this love and promoting literacy in our community, which is why we’ve emptied truckloads of free books specially wrapped in seven custom Weller Book Works covers all around town. " they say.
