We have in the past done quite useful posts regarding guest posting - tips and myths etc. Moreover our dedicated group of contributing authors always add a new dimension to our blog.

However, today we start rolling out a series completely dedicated to our views about guest posting and authorship. Each day we shall be taking up one unique aspect of it. Today we'll stick to building some basics.

Our blog is known for its quality content publishing. But how do we manage to stay true to our blogging ideals with a melee of guest authors, each with their own perceptions? Does guest posting overshadow our own blogging team? Does "accepted" content boost site traction always? What is so unique about guest posting that the domestic blog team cannot accomplish?

A lot of people started blogging last year.

They chose their topic, setup their blog, tweaked their design, and eagerly started writing. They loved it, it didn’t take long for them to realize that nobody was reading.

So they turned their attention to marketing, and spent the rest of the year in fits and starts.

They tried Twitter, forum marketing, blog commenting… you name it, and they probably tried it.
And nothing seems to have worked – traffic is still a flat line in the single digits.

Well, this year is going to be different…
