Artist Of The Week: Keita Sagaki - An Artist Who Doodles In Drawings

Remember the colouring books you used to love in your primary school days? They used to be the best gifts for some. I am sure, everybody also share the memories of drawing or sketching funny things in the back or in the margin of their notebooks, during some boring lecture. It used to be the only and a good option to survive the boredom. But it became a hobby and later a profession for this Japanese artist Keita Sagaki. But he brought a twist.

He merged his love for drawing cartoons and interest in famous art works. And he did that very finely. His art works may look like simple drawings from a distance, that too uncolored. But when you have a closer look at them, you find doodles all over. You will end up searching for your favorite characters within them and also refresh some childhood memories.

Recycled Cassette Tape Artwork By Benoit Jammes

If you have grown up in the 90's and the time before that, hearing your favorite songs through a cassette tape and making mix-tapes for friends is something that you must have done.

With the birth of digital media and the introduction of CDs and later the MP3 file format, cassette tapes which was once the only portable way to store music has gone in a state of oblivion. But there are still some of us who love collecting, recycling and re-modelling cassette tapes.

We have in the past featured many cassette tape inspired products like bags, iPhone cases, wallets, etc. but this time we have an exclusive collection of recycled cassette tape artwork by a French designer Benoit Jammes.

It's Hardly Noticeable By John William Keedy

We often struggle with what's normal and what's not and in this struggle, we end up realizing the fact that what's normal to one, might not be normal to the other. And questioning the normalcy of things, a US-based artist John William Keedy has created a series of artwork called 'It's Hardly Noticeable'.

John is a talented artist who draws inspiration from people around him and creates amazing artwork aimed at examining the concept of personal identity by investigating its development, maintenance, expression, and destruction.

John is basically from San Antonio, Texas but is currently doing his Masters of Fine Arts in Imaging Arts at the Rochester Institute of Technology, New York.

It's Hardly Noticeable has a one-of-a-kind theme that is anxiety.
