A New York-based firm Weartrons, that aims to make our day to day life better with their wearable electronics products, has designed a fitness gadget that helps the users read while they are working out.
A recently launched product, Run-n-Read is a handy gadget that can be easily clipped to the collar of your t-shirt or a headband. Whether you are running on a treadmill, working out on the stair-masters or the exercise bikes, this device tracks the movement of your head and keeps the text bouncing in front of your eyes in sync.
"Run-n-Read is providing an elegant solution for a problem that many people can easily relate to and have assumed that there is no fix for it," shares Praveen Elak Co-Founder, Weartrons.
Using motion sensors and its tiny controllers, Run-n-Read syncs your head movements with a tablet, eReader or a smartphone via Bluetooth. This device tracks your head movements and accordingly adjusts the text on the screen so that it bounces in front of your eyes and at the same time matches your pace.

The device comprises of an accelerometer, a low-power micro-controller, a low energy Bluetooth module and a USB-powered rechargeable battery that can be actively used for 20 hours and has a month of stand by time.
Using this device would be like reading hands-free, just tap once on the device to read the next page and tap twice to read the previous page. The device comes with a free mobile app which is compatible with both iOS and Android.
Apart from helping you read, this device also tracks the number or steps taken and calories burnt.
The device is available in for different colors - Coral Pink, Paradise Green, Ocean Blue and Ruby Red.
The folks at Weartrons are currently running a campaign to raise funds to begin the production of Run-n-Read on Dragon Innovation.
