For a social media networking site that's constantly revamping its technical know how and user interfaces, Facebook's homegrown logo was probably the only untouched thing so far.
In a move that's come after so long, Facebook this week revealed its latest logo. It isn't so different, just slightly decked up , so as to not look like a dud 'wallflower' forever.
Keeping in line with its latest re-designing ethos, the new logo was officially unveiled from the Facebook den. The latest logo that has been rolled out is minus the transparent white ticker-like strip on the alphabet and the "f" appears to be a lot more bigger.
According to Gizmodo reporter Mario Aguilar, by "making the 'F' larger, the character starts to read more like a symbol than a letter. Indeed, the block looks more like an app icon than ever before".
The new logo was first identified and reported by Tom Waddington, a web developer with Cut Out + Keep. He noticed Facebook's newsroom site on Friday to inform this. However, he adds that Facebook has not updated its latest change on pages yet.
Earlier this year, Facebook introduced likely changes in its Newsfeed besides introducing Facebook Home. The overall theme is to de-clutter and simplify the screen space so as to make content appear bigger, brighter and bolder.
