14 Creative & Unusual Chess Sets

Few days back we'd featured an interesting chess set called "Ice Speed Chess Set". A fun idea in which all the pieces are made of ice, therefore you need to hurry up before your pawns melt on the battle ground.

This motivated me to explore more creative and unique chess sets, although I found numerous interesting ideas and concepts but few of them managed to make to this list.

In the past we've featured lists of some pretty bizarre and unique products like Rubik's Cubes, recycled lamps, salt & pepper shakers, some pretty creative coasters, ingenious post-it notes and some awesome beer inspired products. And I must say, that I had the most fun searching for chess sets, and was a little bit confused at the same time, 'coz it was kinda difficult to pick the best ones for this list.

I hope you enjoyed checking out these creative chess boards. The only thing missing in this list is a Harry Potter Chess set, although I did find some average designs, but couldn't find any that lived to expectations. Are any of these for sale? If not, does anyone know a good place to buy unique chess sets? I'm collecting them, and one or two of these would be great additions.

Those are some of the coolest chess sets I have seen! I am totally going to look and see if I can buy unique chess sets for my family members! I know a few would dig that star wars one.
