Who would not like to wear the rings that communicates what you can't otherwise and that too be through rings.Well, today we have with us Rik to tell us more about this awesome product.

Rik, please introduce yourself to E-junkies.

Although I am familiar with the concept of 'Type Rings'. But let's have your version.

Typerings.com allows you to create a ring with an engraving on the outside. Using your own design or text and a choice of eight divergent typefaces. The best feature is the full 3D interface where you can view your ring from every angle before you buy.
At the time my wife and I got married, we had trouble finding the perfect wedding rings. We wanted a text on the outside, on white gold bands, in a certain typeface - that was quite hard to find for a reasonable price. In 2010 (we were married for 10 years) I decided to get new rings. Same concept. And of course, I started to look for the 'Nike iD for wedding rings', but it simply wasn't there. That's when I thought I'd do it myself.
The concept of creating your own ring online sparks a lot of similar applications with the same principle. This idea came along quite early and people responded to it really well. I launched it earlier because it is easier to realize and it served as a pilot for Typerings.com.
The Design upload is a great feature, you can upload any B/W vector image and it will show instantly on the ring. You can move it around in 3D as well. The way we have been able to implement it leaves room for improvement.
What's next? Are you going to launch another product line?
I'm getting the first round of investments together to further grow Typerings.com. With this first round of investments we're expanding our offer (bring the App to tablets), intensifying our marketing efforts and will prepare a second round of investments for a new website that is to be released in 2013. This could be a community designed website, or a luxury brand built upon the same platform.
Share the best incident that you encountered on this journey from conceiving the idea till present.
Immediately after the launch, I got interest from investor from all over the world, and this will help us to grow the business even further.

I'm a big fan of innovations that change society for the better. I read a lot about that in the web. Like 3D printing: A physical revolution of immense magnitude is in the making. This will change the way we produce - and ship - our products entirely.I'm also interested in sustainability. Despite of green-washing and the misuse of this and related concepts, the awareness for the ecological impact is here to stay and has changed the options offered to the consumer dramatically. It is becoming a part of the normal course of business and terms like 'eco' and 'green' will be obsolete in only a few years time.
