Judith Braun is an amazing artist who creates Drawings by using finely powdered charcoal and uses her fingers to apply the charcoal dust to the medium. We had recently featured "Fingerings" series of drawings by her. This time around she has outdone herself and has created a massive 12ft  by 48ft mural using the same technique, titled  "Diamond Dust". Her earlier work was mostly "abstract" and "symmetrical", but this masterpiece combines those techniques and infuses a sense of life in her art, as it depicts a landscape scenery.

This artwork was created by Judith within a week's time while in front of a live audience. Some of her original techniques are still clearly evident when you look at seperate portions of the mural, but when viewed as a whole, it transforms to a landscape scenery. It can be seen live at the Chrysler Museum of Art at Norfolk, Virginia until July 1st' 2012. Check out more images of the artwork below:

Today, we'd like to share artwork of another such unique artist: Judith Braun, who likes to create beautiful symmetric work of art by dipping her fingers in charcoal, pastel and chalk. She likes to creates abstract images, patterns and shapes.

"Fingerings continue my use of carbon medium by dipping my fingers in charcoal to draw directly on the wall, sometimes with both hands simultaneously to the extent of arms' reach. This allows the inherent symmetry of the body to generate a gestural vocabulary of mark making." shares Judith.
