Jaco Haasbroek is not a new name for the E-junkie blog as we have featured some of his past works and yet again his work has caught our attention.

Haasbroek is a Cape Town, South Africa-based artist who works both as an illustrator and a designer who has an eye for everything colorful and a clever sense of humor. He creates hilarious illustrations by putting very normal objects alongside witty one-liners.

Haasbroek first sketches out his ideas on a piece of paper and then puts colors into it. His designs are pretty minimalistic and clean, and as for his inspiration - he shares, "I like making observations, looking for connections and changing my perspective to try and fuel new ideas. If you don’t keep exploring you might find yourself running on empty."

Nature is beautiful! Yes it is. It is pleasurable. It gives pleasure to all our senses, the sense of vision, listening, feeling and even smelling. That is exactly what Nicole Ringgold, a jewelry designer says about nature as her main source of inspiration. Nature inspires some to write, some to draw, some to sing and some to dance. But for Nicole, it is her jewelry designs which came out as the product of her love for nature.

Nicole says on her blog, "My artwork includes mosaics, painted furniture, river rock jewelry, and I incorporate all sorts of funky art with natural and recycled elements. I believe that art should be integrated into people's every day lives, and encourage others to think about how they can transform their living and work spaces to include art."

Social commerce is a subset of eCommerce where buyers rely on each other to discover new products and in one way or the other influence their shopping decisions.

The term 'Social Commerce' was first introduced by Yahoo! in November 2005 to describe "a set of online collaborative shopping tools such as shared pick lists, user ratings and other user-generated content-sharing of online product information and advice."

Brett Kern is a talented ceramic artist who's work is not only perfect but whimsical as well.

One of his recent works, New Work is a series of ceramic sculptures that look like inflatable balloon toys like dinosaurs, astronauts and more.

These sculptures look very similar to inflatable balloon toys in all aspects. Kern has perfectly mimicked every detail of a inflatable balloon toy, from the wrinkles to the appearance, everything is too perfect.

When these sculptures first grabbed my eyes even I mistook them for being balloon toys, it was later in that I realized that these are clay-made sculptures.

For the parents when the child decides to choose one of his parents' profession is the ultimate proud moment. Though for most of the parents this happens in a later stage of life, when the child is all grown up but for a professional illustrator Mica Angela Hendricks this proud moment came a bit too early.

It happened so that one day Mica bought herself a new sketchbook that she had especially ordered, she had just drawn a lady's face that her 4-year old daughter noticed that her mother had got a new sketchbook for herself and asked her if she could also draw on it. When Mica told her that she was going to draw a body on the lady's face, her daughter insisted if she could do that, she grabbed a pen, took the sketchbook from her mother and gave that lady's face a dinosaur-like body which was beautiful and carefree. And that's how this artistic collaboration began.

Mica would draw a face and her 4-year old daughter would complete the sketch by drawing the body. Once the sketch is ready, Mica would add color, highlights and texture, giving it the final touch. The best thing about these sketches is that neither Mica nor her daughter knows what's the sketch is going to be about.
