I know how hectic a social media marketer's schedule can get, busy with all the planning, framing strategies, getting things done, evaluating the done things, working on promotion campaigns and what not. There always comes a 'that's it!' moment, in fact many of us already have but I guess it's the love of what we do and the fun part of it is what keeps us going. In this tight schedule we forget the fact that we all are entitled to take a break once in a while otherwise work would not be fun after a point of time.

Most of us work 24/7 and as time passes by we get so accustomed to our daily routine that we forget the need to take a break. That's maybe because of the fact that a social media marketer's work never ends. Your audience is not restricted to any geographical location, the whole world is your audience and so most of the time you have to be online doing things, the rest busy making plans and yay! you do get to sleep in between.

We at E-junkie have discussed all the aspects of the social media-sphere. What to do, what not to do, using it for your best interest, driving traffic and much more but there is something we missed out until I recently noticed it and that is the - 'time'. And when I say 'time' I'm not talking about investing your time in doing your social media work but at what time should you be posting on Facebook, tweeting, pining or sharing on Google+, working on your everyday social media time table. Your audience is not every time available online to view your updates and posts and when they actually do come online, your updates get buried in the pile of updates in their news feed. Therefore, the reach of your updates or posts in less and that really affects your stats. So what would you do? Post at random times and check the number of views?

The Apple’s iPhone happens to be one of the most productive tools for small business owners today, and in fact, smart phones have become a necessity (not an accessory) to the lives of many people.

But there’s one little set-back: most mobile business apps today make big promises and don’t deliver. They promise Heaven and Earth and at the end, don’t fulfill their promise. They have "fluffy" and clunky interfaces, bad and non-responsive customer support, non-intuitive, and they make small tasks seem to be complex.

"Keep a thing seven years, and you'll always find a use for it" -English Saying

Twitter just turned 7 years yesterday. In a industry where competition is so virulent, having 500 plus million users is not a easy task.

On this esteem occasion, it is time to ponder over the fact that what makes it so special from other social networking and micro blogging sites?

Well the most important endearing aspect of Twitter is that it has made the articulation of ideas more precise. Don't they say "short is sweet". Twitter with its 140 character thoughts is the like hitting a target in point blank range or completely going off the bulls eye; there's no middle ground.

"Businesses today are social. Success depends on connecting with customers instantly across multiple social media channels and networks. The growth of our App Directory gives clients an impressive arsenal of tools to do this, all in a single place. Our goal, as we close in on six million users by end of year, is to continue aggressively integrating leading apps, turning our dashboard into the mother of all SaaS resources for the social business."

This statement by Ryan Holmes, CEO of social media management platform, HootSuite reflects how important innovation is in this industry. Being a Small Business, in a pool of Big Businesses, is nothing short of a whirlpool-like situation - it is so easy to get pulled down in the eye of the storm. The concept of 'one for all and all of one' is an illusion when it comes to facing off competition in a buyer's market.
