So you have to leave the town urgently for two days and your pet-sitter is not available and adding more to the trouble, there's no one available to look after your canine partner. What do you do, cancel your trip or leave your pet home alone?

In a situation like this I personally would advice you to go for PetziConnect by a San Jose-based company Petzila. Though a concept for now but would be a life saver for pet owners if it hits the market.

One of its kind, PetziConnect is a device that plugs into a wall outlet and allows you to see and hear your pet while they are at home alone. the device even allows you to dispense treats for them using the Petzila website or app.

This amazing device is named after the company's purple mascot, Petzi (as you can see in the image above).

The whole purpose of this app is to connect pets and there owners. According to the company, "At Petzila, our passion is creating fun, simple and empowering technology solutions that enable greater and more fulfilling interactive communication between you and your pet."

The Petzila app is available on both iOS and Android devices.

Using the app you can interact with your pet through audio, alerts and scheduling.

The device is currently being crowd-funded on Indiegogo. If the campaign reaches its pledged goal the device would hit the production line and would soon be available in the market. The estimated delivery would begin somewhere in December 2013 this year.

If you like the concept then make sure to support Petzila before 3rd September, 2013.
