For all those YouTube users who have been waiting long to connect their social media networks and their YouTube channel together, Google has a good news for you!

Google is testing a new feature that allows YouTube users to link their Google+ pages to their YouTube account.

Right now, Google is beta testing this feature; therefore, it's only available to some users.

If you want to activate this feature all you have to do is to find the "Connect with a Google+ page (beta)" option in your advanced account settings in your YouTube account. You can link your Google+ page that you manage or your personal Google+ profile with your YouTube account.

Once you've linked your YouTube and Google+ accounts, you'd be able to:
  • Choose any name for your channel and page and if you want, you can even rename your existing account.
  • You can add multiple managers to your channel and you would be able to manage multiple channels (upto 50 channels) with a single log-in.
  • You'll also unlock certain new features like improved video sharing, live broadcasts via Hangouts and a YouTube tab on your Google+ page.

Another cool feature of this integration is that users would be able to use Annotation Links on YouTube videos that link directly to their Google+ Profile.

A Google+ community has especially been created to help users who are having trouble with this integration.

On the YouTube Creator Blog the company yesterday shared, "Certain mobile apps and third party tools may require a bit more effort to work with YouTube channels linked to Google+ pages. Just make sure you're using the most recent YouTube app on Android and iOS".

So what do you thing about this new feature, have you linked your YouTube channel and Google+ profile yet? Do share your thoughts in the comment section below.
