Everpurse is an innovative purse that lets you charge your iPhone by simply placing it in Everpurse pocket.
You do not need any kind of modifications in your phone, you do not need any apps installed and you definitely do not need any kind of cases or wires. Just slip it in the purse and you are good to go.
I know it sounds too good to be true, but then technology never ceases to amaze you, does it?
Everpurse is created by Chicago-based Elizabeth Day Ormesher Salcedo who like any smartphone user has always found charging her phone every now and then to be a huge hassle.
A phone is no longer meant for merely for talking, you need to check emails, tweet, update Facebook, chat, click pictures, watch videos or simply visit your favorite websites. And I am sure that you will agree that women do tend to chat on the phone a little more than the male population. So a purse that has the ability to charge your phone from 0% to 100% and keep it at 50% or above for more than 24 hours (for heavy use) is definitely a winner in my book.
"You can leave home early in the morning, go through a full day of work (Facebooking, Instagramming, games, calls and web surfing) and still have hours and hours left of battery when you go out to dinner or party into the early morning." shares Elizabeth.
Elizabeth realizes that other than the functionality and usability, woman are particular about fashion as well, and looking at the design I am sure no one will question the 'fashion statement'.
How exactly the purse manages to wirelessly charge your iPhone by simply placing the phone in the purse is still a mystery. But you still need to charge the purse when you are home. In the image above you can see a charging mat, all you need to do is drop the purse on the mat at night and in the morning carry the purse along with you.
Check out this video where you can see interesting reactions of people who came across Everpurse prototype:
In order to raise enough money to be able to manufacture Everpurse, Elizabeth has recently started a campaign on Kickstarter, where she has set a goal of whopping $100,000. The project has 33 days to go, but within the first day there has been $20,000 pledged already. I am sure that like me, there are many others who can see a huge potential in this product. Current price for Everpurse is $99.
It is important to note that for now Everpurse can charge iPhone 4 and 4S only. Although they do plan to make Everpurse compatible with other smartphones as well, that we are still waiting for that update through their Kickstarter campaign.
