As a woman I can safely say that shopping and indecisiveness go hand in hand. Therefore a second opinion is a must!

In fact, one can use as many opinions as one can get. And this is where social media comes into play.

We don't need to tell you about how Facebook 'Likes' can affect a person's psyche. Keeping this in mind, a European fashion retailer C&A has come up with an ingenious social media campaign in Brazil that uses real-time feedback (rather 'Likes')  to help shoppers make a decision. This campaign is called 'Fashion Like' that displays number of likes received for a particular clothing on hangers. Each item is linked to C&A's Facebook page, and based on the popularity, shoppers can let go of any skepticism and confidently make a choice.

But then, if you think about it, how much would you rely likes on by strangers? Like I said before, Facebook's Like button can easily manipulate a person's perception and may result in shopper's buying something that they might regret later.

But from retailer's point of view, it an excellent initiative to engage as many people as they can and in the process persuade shoppers to buy something that they otherwise might not even consider.

So are you the kind of shopper who would buy clothes based on number of Likes or stick to your own style quotient?
