Creating art out of unique materials reflects on an artists' creativity. Mark Khaisman is one such artist who creates portraits using translucent brown tape, and likes to work on subjects from art history, old movies and 20th century propaganda art.

The dramatic visuals in his work comes from backlit Plexiglas panels that are placed behind layers of tape work.

Khaisman studied art and architecture in Moscow Russia, and is currently living and working in Philadelphia, USA.
