Australian artist James Corbett sculpts with car parts to create vivid realistic sculptures. He gives a new life to old car parts, and has been doing this remarkable job from last 13 years. Prior to that, he was in an auto recycling business. Then how he get into sculpting? He received a tremendous response from the viewers when he first made a an off road race buggy. And since then, there was no looking back. He exhibits internationally and his pieces have found homes in many countries.

The best part about his artwork is that no object is bent or reshaped; every object is used as it is. “The parts themselves are often interesting, some are as much as eighty years old”, says James. He assembles some of the oldest and interesting car parts; cars & bikes being the subject of his sculptures, predominantly. Have a look at some of my favorites from his collection:
