Inspiration likes to play hide 'n seek, it teases you, excites you, at times irritates you but the moment you catch hold of it...it liberates you.

We all have our own ideas of drawing inspiration, everything does not work for everyone. Some find it in solitude, while some try to catch it in a bustling market. Some like to travel, while some like to lock themselves in their house, some go for a drive, while some like to walk...I for example, find inspiration in my kitchen.

Therefore, we have covered A to Z of inspiration so that you can find more and more ways to get those creative juices flowing, have a look and get inspired!

Adventure

Adventure doesn't necessarily has to be extreme. Watching a really scary movie can be an adventure too, the point is to draw inspiration from something that you deem to be adventurous.

Blogs

There are plenty and plenty of blogs out there, where people share their stories and personal experiences. Reading these stories, ideas or even looking at images can inspire you.

Cooking

Like I said before, food is my source of inspiration. Cooking with colorful and flavorful items, watching basic ingredients become a work of art can be highly inspiring.

Dreams

Dreams is a secret window to your mind, although it's not easy for everyone to remember them. But if you can, you will be surprised with immensely creative ideas that come from your dream world.

Exercise

It's one-of-a-kind high that brings loads of positivity within you. Exercising clears your mind, and leaves a lot of room for new ideas to barge in.

Fashion

Even if you are not into fashion, try to notice those fashionable clothes, shoes, accessories, the colors, the style or even the person. Fashion requires a lot of creativity and tells a story that might surprisingly inspire you some day.

Google

Googling random stuff, or even researching on something new every now and then can trigger an interesting idea.

Holidays

Weekends or holidays are the days when your mind is relaxed, oblivious of that mad world around you. Don't while away your time by sleeping your way through, either pack your bags and visit a new place or indulge in some interesting activity.

Images

Websites like Flickr, Behance or Deviant Art have some amazing images from creative people all over the world. Browse through them...who knows, their imagination might trigger your inspiration.

Journal

Not a 'dear dairy' kinda journal, but a pocket dairy where you can scribble down your random thoughts. It could be a new word that you learnt, an interesting quotation you read, a stupid thought that you think makes no sense. Jot it down, trust me...it will your Bible for inspiration.

Kamikaze Style

Well, not literally! Recklessness leads to interesting stories, 'I don't give a damn attitude' can bring a whole new person within you. Try it out sometime...you never know, inspiration might hit you really hard.

Long Drive

Long drive and introspection go hand in hand. Pick up some coffee, some snacks, good music and hit the road. Your journey may become the source for your inspiration.

Movies & Music

Watch movies..of all kinds, don't stick to one genre, otherwise the whole purpose will be lost. Listen to different artists, concentrate on the lyrics and let your creativity carry you from there.

Nature

Nature is the greatest work of art and the greatest source of inspiration. By simply spending 10 minutes looking at the sunset can open the flood gates of inspiration; I once found inspiration for a poem from a mother monkey fetching lice out of her baby monkey.

Oddity

An odd place, idea, thing or a person can turn out to be fascinating muse for an artist. I do not mean it in a derogatory way, I mean it in a creative way. An artist will understand how inherent oddity is for creativeness.

Photography

You do not have to be a photographer for this, just catch hold of your smartphone and take pictures of anything that fascinates you. Keep a photo blog, a diary or a folder on your desktop and browse through it when you are in the need of inspiration.

Quotations

Reading quotations mostly motivates you, but there are deep words that linger on for a while and eventually lead to inspiration.

Reading

Reading stories, books, magazines or even comics keeps your mind active and subconsciously stores ideas that are waiting to be formulated.

Stroll

This is a quick fix to finding inspiration when you desperately need one. Put on your jacket, no music and go out for a peaceful stroll down the road, nearby market, or even an amusement park. You'll be surprised how easy it to find inspiration when you slow down a little bit.

Twitter

Twitter not only helps in connecting with people and finding interesting links on internet. It is a great resource for new thoughts by random people, how they perceive things and it is up to you how you choose to draw inspiration from this amazing micro-blogging site.

Utilize Those Bad Days

They say that a positive mind is more creative and can lead to many ideas. But a true artist knows how to turn those bad days or bad moods into a good idea. Negative emotions can stimulate creativity in a surprising way.

Video Games

They say that video games hampers your health, both emotionally and physically. But you know what, there is no harm in indulging in video games every now and then. It brings in a whole new perspective towards the way you think...just don't get carried away.

Window Shopping

Checking out those shiny shoes, or your dream watch can lead your mind towards new stories. Do some window shopping and at the same time observe people around you; you will be pleasantly inspired.

X-Mas

My favorite time of the year, full of colors, festive spirit, super excited kids, grown-ups desperately shopping their hearts out, mouth watering fragrance in the air and one-of-a-kind joy. You are bound to get inspired.

Yoga

Yoga not only calms your body but also your mind. This centuries old technique has inspired many legendary and iconic artists; it has brought them serenity. Give it a try, it might suit your creativity and if nothing else, it will improve your health.

Zone-Out

Daydreaming is one of my favorite pass times and takes me anywhere I wish to be. Close the outside world, and visit your own, think whatever that pleases you and it will lead to your inspiration.
