Hyper Alerts provides a solution that Facebook seems to have forgotten or perhaps chosen to ignore: notifications for your Facebook page.
If you are anything like me, constant notifications of meaningless comments on my profile is quite annoying, but when it comes to business, as an administrator I would like to know each and every detail of what's happening on my page...and this is where Hyper Alerts comes to the picture.
"Many of your friends administer one or more pages on Facebook, but there is one essential feature Facebook 'forgot' to make - the option to get email alerts when somebody posts or comments on one of your pages." describes their site.
Hyper Alerts is a simple web application that sends you an alert via email, it depends on the administrator as to how often he/she wishes to receive these notifications. It could be on hourly, daily, weekly or monthly basis. Initially they'd included 'As soon as possible' feature too, but it seems it didn't work as they'd expected, therefore for now, the earliest notification that you can receive is on hourly basis.
Here's how it works:
Sign up with Hyper Alerts.
Click on "Add a new alert" button at the bottom of the page.
Enter the URL of your Facebook Page.
Last step is to select your settings, whether you wish to receive notification every hour, day, week or month.
And voilà, your Facebook notification system is all set and you will be alerted about the latest activities on your page as and when you wish to.
Hyper Alert does not access your Facebook account and does not use Facebook connect. It's a free and incredibly easy-to-use tool. Although you can't reply to comments from the email itself, but nevertheless, it will hugely help you in ensuring that you never miss out on a comment or shared link on your Facebook page.
