Jeremy May, a British jewelry artist creates variety of rings, bracelets and necklaces from old books, taking love of books to a different level and bringing a unique poetic sense to the jewelry he makes.

Not too long ago we featured an artist who creates three-dimensional paper cut sculptures out of old books, while looking for other creative art from books I stumbled on Jeremy's site...a blissful serendipity.

His company is called 'Little Fly' and its jewelry is created by laminating hundreds of sheets of paper and given a final touch with high gloss.

"Jeremy May has captured the beauty of paper via a unique laminating process. The paper is selected and carefully removed from a book, and the jewelry re-inserted in the excavated space." explains the website.

One can very clearly see the text on the surface of each jewelry making every product unique where one can catch a tiny glimpse of the book from which the jewelry has been created. A very attractive and chick way to flaunt your love for books and support recycling...but slaughter of old and classical books is not really my cup of tea. But thats just one point of view, Marie Look thinks that " the idea of carrying your favorite book or a book of sentimental value around with you in this way is pretty cool."

Having said that one can't help and appreciate the creativity behind this idea and its meticulous execution...therefore Little Fly, is our "Product Of The Week" and below are some of many impressive creations by Jeremy:

For those who wish to convert their favorite book into jewelry can contact Jeremy who will create the jewel of their choice and return it neatly re-inserted in the book.
