Boomerang Gmail is an extension for Chrome and Firefox that lets you schedule emails for later. Through this smart little extension you can control sending or receiving emails as per your will; the ability to automatically send mails in the future and read mails as scheduled by you sure makes it a pretty handy tool.
You can choose to send out an email few hours, days, weeks or months later; even if you are offline the mail be sent on scheduled time and date; you can also schedule to receive emails as reminders.
Once you install this extension through this link, a button will appear on top right of your Gmail homepage and also on the bar above your inbox. Something like this:
You can compose a message and set a time and date as per your liking and hit the send button or you can set a reminder for an email which will be 'boomeranged' back to your inbox. You will have to authenticate the service authorizing them to pick some info from your Gmail account.
Boomerang was introduced for Gmail as private beta and could be accessed via invitation only, but now it is available as open beta and is another useful add-on for Gmail. Check out the demo video below that shows how you can use Boomerang and for what all purposes.
