Did you know that there are 12 million Americans estimated to be suffering from a food allergy?
In 2008 a Dad of five boys did not stop thinking when he wondered about a place that was allergy-savvy, rather founded allergyeats.com that helped in ending Americans quest to find acceptable places where they can dine-out without any apprehensions.
"My wife had gone away, and trying to make my two boys out, who both had allergies, was difficult. Not having the knowledge frustrated me enough to do something about it and take action. With Allergy Eats, I want people to understand that by posting reviews and helping others, that they're helping themselves and letting restaurants be aware of what need to be done" explains Paul Antico, founder of AllergyEats.com
With database of over 600,000 restaurants across U.S. , Allergy Eats is a detailed directory of reviews for all these eating out places where people share personal experiences and rate them for food allergies; also providing restaurants with information that can help them in improving their standards.
"We're thrilled to see an increasing number of restaurants responding to the growing concern about food allergies and tolerances. Increasing numbers of restaurants are training their staff about food allergies and publishing allergy information on menus." the website claims.
While people rating for people, keeping each other's good health in mind sure sounds like a great idea, but the question is that how much are willing to rely on other's opinions when it comes to your health?
