Alice.com has recently entered the E-commerce world and aims to provide perfect online solution for buying groceries and household goods. The site is founded by Brian Wiegand (CEO) and Mark McGuire (President), who recently sold their former company Jellyfisf.com to Microsoft.

"I couldn't resist the call of the start-up world and the Alice.com opportunity" shares Brian.

Alice.com provides a service that allows its users to manage all their household products online and avoid frequent visits to a store. They offer Consumer Packaged Products (non-perishable): baby food, paper towels, toilet papers, toothpaste, cereals, lotions and many more. So what is so different and new about Alice.com?

Alice.com does not hold any inventory, when they receive orders they procure items directly from the manufacture which helps in reducing the price of the product since it eliminates the middleman. They also ship all their products without any charges, although the minimum order must consist of at least 6 items.

And best of all, they provide electronic coupons for many products, which are automatically applied to the goods when the consumer adds them to their cart. They also keep a track of their consumer's shopping trend and sends reminders when they might be running low on a certain product.

"Out time at Alice is made up of a talented group of people that are passionate about changing the way you shop for goods that keep your home running. Our mission is to make your home run smarter, to give you extra time to spend on the important things in your life, and, of course, to make sure you never run out of toilet paper again". claims Alice.com.

Overall it is a thoughtful business idea, because it has reversed the whole grocery shopping experience by providing cheaper goods online as compared to offline buying. Having said that, there is no replacement to exploring different aisles in store and buying out of impulse, but when it come to saving time or perhaps being a little lazy, then Alice will prove out to be a convenient and economical substitute.
