"How to use a semicolon"
"How to suck at Facebook"
"Five reasons pigs are awesome than you"
"8 types of awkward workouts"

These are some of the many hilarious topics that Matthew Inman talks about on his website: theoatmeal.com

Mathew founded Oatmeal last year, in the first month of its launch The Oatmeal received 30,000 visitors. His original and witty sense of humor has won him several loyal readers; the site consists of Comics, Quizzes, videos and lots of random stuff that is not only bound to leave you laughing but also provide you with information in the most humorous manner.

Matthew was merely 13 years of age when he starting teaching himself web designing and development, by the time he graduated high school he was already well versed with web designing and coding in different languages.

"This enables me to basically skip college and go straight to work at the height of the dot-com boom" said Matthew in an interview with social media rockstar.

In 2007, he single handedly coded and designed an online dating site called Mingle2. Since he is a an online marketer as well; Matthew promoted his site extensively through viral marketing. Shortly, his site was ranked #1 by Google for online dating, and was getting 2 million page views a month and number of sign-ups were increasing exponentially. Later, a competitor acquired Mingle2 and now Matthew is content with designing and marketing his first creation.

Matthew has also self published his book called "The Oatmeal Comic Book", which is perhaps funnier than his website; apart from his book he sells equally hilarious posters and mugs. Currently he has started working on his upcoming book and has given his site a break for a while.

"Web design is not a bad career choice. It's just -- combine my personality with having to deal with clients, it's not a pretty picture. I'm much better at having my own products" believes Matthew.
