Sofia and Sam are globe-trotting characters who travel to a new country every month on their magical GPS enabled scooter and gather fun facts about that country. To begin with, every subscriber receives an Explorer Kit with contains:
- A fun travel suitcase with an introductory letter from Sofia & Sam.
- World Wall Map
- Travel Passport
- Fun Stickers
- Activity Sheet (Fun puzzles and brainteasers)
- Access to Online Games and Activities with their boarding pass.
Thereafter, each month the child receives a package from Sofia & Sam (related to their recent visit) which includes more activity sheets, a photo from that country, a passport stamp, a suitcase sticker and souvenirs like: traditional country toys, puzzles, photos, postcards, music CDs and different arts and craft objects from that country.
"In the Japan mailing, children read about Sam and Sofia’s adventures eating sushi at Tsukiji, climbing Mount Fuji, and meeting a Japanese friend who teaches them origami. We include an origami activity kit and a sushi eraser to bring the adventures to life for children." said Stelle Ma, co-founder of Little Passports in an interview with technorati.
What we loved the most about them is that they have combined traditional methods of teaching with virtual teaching methods; apart from receiving fun and educational goodies, kids can play online games as well. These days children are far more tech savy than their previous generation and Little Passports helps them to learn about different places on the globe without having to actually travel to a country.
