1. Internet was originally known as 'ARPAnet' (Advance Research Projects Agency Network). It began with the US Department of Defence Advanced Research Projects Agency in 1969.
2. In 1982, "Times" magazine gave its "Man of The Year" award to a machine - The Computer.
3. In October 1991, Linus Torvalds - a young student at University of Helsinki released his first prototype Linux Software.
