We generally have a tendency of throwing all scrap metal away, it's nothing but trash taking up extra space for us but for Vik Muniz trash is all art!

Vik is a talented Brazilian artist who uses everything from discarded automobile parts to all metallic trash to create huge collages, which he then photographs and shares the digital prints on his website.Viz is the same artist who's work-in-process was shown in the an Academy Award nominated documentary Wasteland. He currently lives and works in New York.

You can see Vik's scrap metal art on display as digital prints at the Armory Show in New York through the Rena Bransten Gallery which would be starting on 7th March, 2013.

Trashy Crafter aka Kimberly Franklin is a California based artist who believes that with trash, the possibilities of creation are limitless. And by creating these beautiful flowers out of atlas papers, she has proven the same. "I decided to take some like the brooches and turn them into flowers with stems for vases", shares Kim.

The old atlas papers could not be put at a better use than creating these wonderful flowers. The stem of the flower is a recycled wire and the bead in the center is from an old necklace. Thus, they are 100% recycled. Additionally, I really liked the way each petal is traced and cut.
