Apple fans are touted as some of the most loyal in the tech world, vying for information about new product line releases, software updates, and insider tips and tricks to make those hip and trendy devices even more conducive to living the life through a nifty handheld device. Apple is known for its top of the line, and subsequently pricey smart phones, tablets and personal computers, appealing to a world of self-proclaimed hip consumers that are passionate about having the best of the best and willing to pay the price to get just that. Its products have a reputation of taking years to make it to market because it refuses to produce anything that could be deemed subpar. At Fueled we noted the fact that the company's dedicated fan base eagerly bought in to its new iPhone offerings, yet Apple may have lost a notch in its technology belt by delivering a product that was less than "ready" for the masses. The jarring issue?

Technology challenged folks are sometimes stuck in their ways. Texting, phone cameras, email? Forget about it! They don't ever have to change the way they use a computer or phone because they have these dandy gadgets:

Enhance your tabletop RPG experience (and thwack dragons more efficiently) with these four apps for your Android phone.
Tabletop RPGs, no matter how creative (and sometimes downright absurd) they tend to be, are serious business. In fact, I think the graphing paper industry owes its existence partly to tabletop gamers. The really extensive and fleshed-out RPG sessions involve more frantic scribbling, dice-rolling, and calculating than actual monster brain-bashing, and as weird as it sounds, it's actually really entertaining. I mean, when you're actually playing, that is. I can't imagine anyone getting worked up over nabbing front-row seats to watch Englebert the level 16 Bard make a saving throw.
I don't have any actual data on hand right now, but I'm pretty sure that if somebody were to conduct a study on the relationship between the likelihood of a person to own a smartphone and the involvement of said person in tabletop RPGs, they'd probably find a correlation of some sort.

Quick, what's your greatest fear? Heights? Darkness? Monthly billing statements? If you're a tech-savvy parent with at least one toddler at home, chances are your greatest fear is to wake up and see your little angel hitting things as hard as she can with your Android phone, or accidentally spending two thousand dollars on some virtual weapons for an iPad game. When left unsupervised, children are the leading cause of astronomical gadget-related bills. Perhaps the most frustrating part about this is that you can't simply tell your kid to not touch your stuff, because "being curious" and "doing things that human cubs absolutely are not supposed to do" are two traits that have managed to survive generations of evolution. This means that to expect children to behave properly at all times is tantamount to going against the very will of Mother Nature herself, which is both scary and impossible.

Here are four horrifyingly devastating incidents that you should think about the next time you're about to fall asleep at work.
In order to function like a well-oiled machine (which I now realize is a somewhat redundant metaphor, considering that I'm talking about technology here), technological devices often require hundreds, or even thousands, of tiny parts working together in glorious mechanical harmony. Unfortunately, this also means that the slightest miscalculation, error, or forgotten detail inevitably spells disaster, the intensity of which increases exponentially with the level of complexity of the device in question (discounting the butterfly effect or Murphy's Law, of course, in which case anything and EVERYTHING can annihilate life on Earth, with proper timing). A few droplets of water inside a cellphone could mean that you'd need to buy a new one, while a few droplets inside a stealth bomber's sensor means that very expensive things will explode and heads will certainly roll.

In our mad rush to jump from one technological milestone to another, we sometimes forget that the rest of the world tends to get left behind, mostly to pick up our garbage and get poisoned from all the pollution we leave in our wake. We've experienced high-tech breakthroughs in medicine, transportation, entertainment and even pretending to care about each other. Unfortunately, we haven't even managed to completely stop other animals from dying out, in no small part due to our own selfishness. Fortunately, scientists and animal lovers have figured out ways to use sophisticated technology to help our animal buddies survive long enough to see us flying around in jetpacks and teleporting all over the place. Here are five methods that serve as likely demonstrations of what Iron Man would do if he were an animal rights activist.

Business does not stop just because the clock says so. As the American market closes, the Asian market opens. It is far wiser to stay in touch with your business outside of business hours instead of assuming that "it will wait until tomorrow." People do not stop buying, swapping and trading just because 5pm has arrived.
Here are some apps that you are going to find useful for keeping abreast of recent developments in your business and in your industry at large. If you can keep your finger in the pie whilst outside of business hours, then you automatically put yourself above all of the other businesses that "clock off" at 5pm.

In case the word "fiction" in "science fiction" didn't already tip you off, science fiction tends to have an inversely proportional relationship with logic and reality, which means that the more awesomely mind-blowing the story is, the less likely it is to actually happen. This is probably why a bunch of well-trained Stormtroopers with laser guns can't hit three airheads in cramped corridors, the Flash can outrun light without pureeing his insides, and the Hulk still manages to fit his gigantic green frame in purple size 30s whenever the guy at McDonald's forgets to give him extra ketchup. Through the years, humanity has managed to make some of its greatest geek wet dreams come true.

Starting a successful tech company is the modern day entrepreneurial fairy tale. The stories of college students making millions out of a simple website that they've set up from the confines of their university halls sound highly attractive business propositions. Not only that but the university-to-riches-whilst-not-even-30 journey is more than just a myth and has happened more than once.
Like all good stories however, a lot of the harsher truths on the subject of starting up a successful tech company are somewhat glossed over in the process and it is important that you are aware of exactly how much of a struggle it can be.

A group of startup companies has recently revealed that they have founded what is called the Internet of Things Consortium, which is meant to gather minds and ideas from various companies in order to get more Internet-connected devices to work with each other more efficiently. Before the conspiracy nuts and the anti-monopolization activists could start foaming at the mouth, however, this nonprofit group shared its plans and goals, as well as identities of the companies that will be involved.

Life has always been full of surprises. Even the highest-paid and most respected honchos in the technology arena, who are often perceived as ready and able to dodge big business problems with the sleight of a hand are not completely excused from getting their heads up on the chopping block. Just like in politics and government, scandals that eventually lead to resignations can trigger a change in the dynamics and landscape of any tech-centric business – especially when their personal issues are brought into question.
In most cases in fact, such resignations become highly publicized because of the ‘shock’ factor or the element of surprise that they bring into the table.

You’ve been working towards making your life less cluttered despite being on the road a lot, but you’re such a huge fan of gadgets and technology that you don’t know which ones to keep and which ones to get rid of. Nowadays, not having any technological device within arm’s reach is unbearable and plainly inexcusable, much more so when you’re a highly mobile individual who needs to get work done in transit. So, what’s a minimalist to do?
Personal computing
I remember being 15 and having to fight with my sister over the PC, or the personal computer that’s constantly wired to the internet. Perhaps you’re still using a desktop at home due to their all-around reliability as a “home appliance.” But since you’re always on the road now, perhaps it’s time to switch to a powerful laptop that’s built to last. You don’t need the fast video cards or the 22-inch monitors given your on-the-go lifestyle, so perhaps you can choose something that will let you perform all the basic stuff you need like word processing, internet browsing, and a little photo editing. This way, you can do all the normal stuff your desktop computer is supposed to do while having the luxury of lugging the device anywhere you go.
