The first line to catch my eye was "eat your vegetables along with the utensils" on Fast Company's blog. The curiosity bug caught me and led to Qiyun Deng's website to explore what all this was about.

A little about this designer first.

Qiyun Deng is a China-based product designer who has a degree from ECOL(Ecole cantonale d'art de Lausanne) in Switzerland. Her designs now exemplify a innate connection with traditional Chinese things, one way or the other related to nature and its sanctity.

For top brands such as furniture makers Cassina, Qiyun produced an excellent line of bamboo-based sofa. However, it is her "Graft" that stands out for us.

What's the worst part of living in narrow streets with tall buildings?

You feel like being packed in between the buildings and every time you up, all you can see is the rooftops with a little bit of the sky. For some of us it's a sad state, for some it's normal but for artists like Thomas Lamadieu, it's inspirational; all they see is the empty space(sky) in between the rooftops and the endless possibilities with it.

Lamadieu is a French artist who creatively uses the empty space in between the rooftops, making the sky his canvas, to create playful imaginative illustrations. He has created a series of sky illustrations - SkyArt, that features interesting illustrations.
