Recently, I told you about getting percent based discounts
for individual products. This week we
are going to talk about having a single discount work for a group of your
products.
Now you cannot actually make a single discount for more then
one product but what you can do is create multiple discounts all with the same
discount code. That way when your buyer
enters in the discount code all the discounts will activate.
Start by going to the discount page and selecting a
product.
Then enter in a name for the discount and enter in a code, for our sample I'm entering in 12345:
Then enter in a name for the discount and enter in a code, for our sample I'm entering in 12345:
Finally enter in a discount amount and click Submit. At the bottom of the page will be a message
that the Discount was created.
Next, all you need to do is change the product and change
the name. It is important that you
change the Discount Name, but keep the code the same:
The code and amount will stay the same so after selecting
the new product and setting a new name, click Submit.
There is now a single discount code that will work for two
products at the same time in your account, but not all of your products. This can be repeated to allow for any number
of multiple products to have the same discount. But if you are creating a discount for all of your products, just use
the All Cart Items option, instead of making one for each product.
