Are you an artist looking for like-minded people to share your creative works with? Here's a Kickstarter campaign you should check out and must back.

Get over photography community and meet Splindr, a social networking platform exclusively for artists where they can share photos of their artworks and connect with fellow artists.

The brainchild of Rashad Alston who thinks that the ability to create art is one of the most emotionally charged, beautiful, and expressive creative outlets available to mankind and due to his love for art and his appreciation for the artistic community, he began developing a web application called 'Splindr'.

To use Splindr all you need to do is sign-up and start posting and networking with other artists from different background and areas.

In case you are wondering why choose Splindr when there are already plenty of other similar platforms, well I'll say the USP of Splindr is that it allows you to share your artwork and interact with other artists from different industries on a single platform.

According to Rashad, "The idea for Splindr stemmed from a chance interaction I had with a fellow artist. I randomly came across a piece of her art on Twitter, so in an effort to figure out how she created that piece I messaged her on Facebook. Now in today's world, a random guy messaging a girl on Facebook comes off as creepy, but in this case she welcomed the fact that I admired and wanted to know more about her artwork. So we connected based on the simple fact that we were both artists."

Currently, Splindr is being crowdfunded on Kickstrarter. The money raised from this campaign would help in getting Splindr up and running and become the primary resource for artists who want to share their works.
