Yay! Today is Black Friday!
Why all the excitement because the holiday shopping season is officially on now and there's no need to give an explanation to people every time you are spotted with shopping bags.
Black Friday is all about tempting deals and shopping till you drop, a day that all shopaholics love but the same time one can't exclude the dark side of this day, I'm not talking about the credit card bills and bad deals that one latter regrets about but the shopping madness, the chaos, the fighting over products (who grabbed it first), the long line at the cash counter, no parking space and sometimes the fighting and the bruises. If you survive this day without one, you are lucky!
This year the Black Friday madness started a bit earlier as many shops stayed open on Thanksgiving and many people camped out overnight, missing the Thanksgiving feast just to score great deals.
Don't you think that Black Friday is just like any normal sale day at your favorite store?
So why not skip the Black Friday this year and do something better. Here are 10 things you can do instead of shopping this Friday.
Happy reading!
1. Black Friday is all about shopping, in short spending money so why not celebrating a no spend day. This means keeping your wallet aside and buying nothing. Avoid going out, this might tempt you to buy something.
2. Run errands, get pending work done like fixing broken gadgets and take home improvement projects.
3. Spend time with family and friends. You can use this extra holiday day to spend time with family and friends. Do things like playing outdoor games, watch movies and dedicate this one day to family and friends; better that standing in line at the shopping counter.
4. Get in touch with long lost friends. Spread a little holiday cheer around and get in touch with long lost friends or friends you have not got in touch with for sometime, make them feel special.
5. Exercise. We know the Thanksgiving was a blotch on your fitness regime so why not shed those extra pounds you earned this Thanksgiving!
6. Get pending work off your desk.
7. Holiday shopping done? Why not start wrapping the holiday gifts and working on the holiday cards.
8. Start planning your holidays! Why not? You get ample of time to do the holiday planning today.
9. Finish off the leftovers. Don't you have the Thanksgiving leftover to finish off!
10. Pickup a DIY project. Do something productive! It feels great when you create something on your own.
In case you find these ten options totally irrelevant then you can still ditch the Black Friday because to you have the Cyber Monday to compensate with.
