Jason Hughes is an artist who believes that no medium is big or small. In fact, after just viewing his work one thing that I can say is that when it comes to art anything can become a medium, even a dollar bill, be it one whole or just shredded.
Hughes has been making artwork using shredded dollar bills since 2007. What might look like a perfect piece of art is a result of a long process of hard work. His work also highlight the disparity between skilled labor and industry in the United States.
Hughes uses dollar bills that are no more used and are shredded by the government. He takes each shredded piece and carefully weaves them together. This really involves a lot of time, attention and patience.
