No matter how modern and technology-dependent we become, certain things from the past would always be missed and moreover, would be used as inspiration for future products. One thing that most of us still miss is the cassette tape. Weren't they just amazing?

Nowadays, cassette tapes now are nothing but collectible items. But there are a few creative minds who know how to bring them back and giving them a more modern look. I recently stumbled upon a concept-based product NVDRS Tape.

A NVDRS tape might look like a cassette tape but its a digital music player. Deceptive by looks, this device can play music that can be uploaded via USB. Keeping with the 45/60/90 minute limits of traditional cassette tapes, the NVDRS tape forces you to carefully select the songs you'd like to hear, and not just dump thousands upon thousands of MP3s onto it.

This concept surfaced in 2009 and has yet not been conceptualized.

What makes this player unique is usage process. For example - if you want to forward or rewind a song, all that you need to do is rotate its spools manually using your finger or a pencil.

This player can be charged by rotating the spool. The second hole with the LED light indicates the power status of the player.
