With the launch of iPhone 5S and 5C, Apple is back with a bang in the game of the smartphones and it's iPad Air event, that just took place yesterday, was nothing but a cherry on the top.
Talking about the iPhone 5S. Well, this one product garnered a lot of attention even before its launch as it attracted the longest line with 1,417 people ever outside the Apple's flagship store in New York.
For any one who is using an iPhone for the first time, it can be a really tricky device to operate but once you get a hang of it, it's one hard to part with. I'm no Apple loyalist but most Apple users, especially the ones I know of, find it hard to switch to another brand.
Anyways, recently Apple has shared an official tips and trick guide for its iPhone 5S. In case you have purchased one, you ought to checkout this guide before you actually start using it. Below are a few tips and tricks from that list:
1. Swipe Gestures
You always got to look good for the FaceTime calls and looking your best always is a hard thing to manage, when you are all stressed out with work. Apple now allows users to make audio-only FaceTime calls, just tap on the phone icon in the FaceTime section on your contact's card.
3. Maps
Love sightseeing but don't have the time to actually go visit that particular place but using your iPhone you actually can. Open the map app, tap on the 3D icon to switch to Flyover view and explore place that you want to from the air. You can also zoom, pan and rotate around landmarks.
Lastly, you can also share a particular location on your map with your friends, just drop a pin on that location, tap on it and select share to actually share it via AirDrop, Messages, Mail, Twitter or Facebook.
4. Siri
Lyet Siri know about your near and dear ones like your wife or dad so that you can just say "Text my wife" or "Call Dad" and Siri knows what you mean. Don't like the way Siri pronounces a particular name, just say "that's not how you pronounce that," Siri would ask your for the correct pronunciation and would say the name back to you in three different way, just choose the one you like and your work is done. You can also enter your home and work location in contacts, this way whenever you reach or leave either of the places Siri can remind you what things you have to do.
