Apple released the iOS 7 update last week on Wednesday. Certain apps like Facebook, Twitter,  Foursquare were already prepared for this update but Instagram took almost a week to to update its app for iOS 7. And after checking out the updated app, we must say that it is worth the wait.

According to the official announcement, "We put the community—and the photos and videos you share—first. To bring you the best experience possible, we have always valued beauty and simplicity in our app. With the introduction of iOS 7 and its emphasis on clarity, we were excited to rebuild the look and feel of Instagram in a way that would bring these principles together and let the moments this community captures and shares shine."

The company has focused on minimalistic design and has also included higher resolution images and videos support.

The interface has just been redesigned while the functions and the usage stays the same. The size of the photos and videos in the news feed have increased  so that they expand to the edges of your screen. This means that the picture and the videos would be more clear and pleasant.

Instagram has also ditched the old-fashioned square profile picture layout and has gone the circular way. The pages appear more whiter and the app is running smooth on both the iPhone and iPad.
