You need more content for your blog. Who doesn't? The problem is that you're running out of ideas - or at least your think you are. Writing a blog is hard work, but it's far from impossible to keep the content flowing. If you want users to continue to come back, you need to offer them something fresh on a somewhat frequent basis. Here's how to do that:

Secure Guest Bloggers

Maybe you're hitting a dry spell. Maybe you're super-busy and you don't have time to write all of the blog's content on your own. When you can't create content, for whatever reason, it might be time to find another expert (or 10) in your industry that can help keep your blog alive.

Guest bloggers take a lot of the edge off of you. For example, let's say you run an insurance-based website. You can contribute one new article per week, but that's about it. You want more. So, you approach other people in your industry who either don't have a blog or do have a blog and a lot of time on their hands. Maybe you know a few retired insurance agents who could help you out. Or, perhaps, you could take out an ad for writers.

If you secure just 7 writers, you can have a new blog post every day, and you're only asking people to make a contribution once-per-week. The demands you're placing on them are low, but the yield is high for your blog. Everyone wins.

Answer Questions No One Is Answering

Every industry has its taboo questions. Questions that no one wants to answer or think are sufficiently answered. Often, the reality is that the market needs more information. People are hungry for a real answer and not the P.C. one.

For example, the swimming pool industry used to revolve around door-to-door sales. Salespeople (i.e. contractors) would visit prospective customers and pitch them a quote for a new pool. The sales pitch had to be pretty aggressive. Not a single contractor was willing to break down how much a pool really cost.

You had to have a pushy salesman in your home, and really put his feet to the fire, before he would answer you. That was before Marcus Sheridan came onto the scene. Sheridan published an article about pools, breaking down the formula for pricing out the installation.

He was an instant hit - thousands of people were looking for what he was now freely giving away. Guess who got all of the business from those local searches?

Content that no one else is publishing does two things: it replenishes your blog and your bank account.

Supplement With Curated Content

Sometimes you just can't find anything new to post. No worries. One of the best things you can do is curate content. There's an almost endless number of unread blog posts out there. Guess what? You can repost them, with the author's permission, and add your own commentary.

In a way, this creates and entirely new post out of old content. Rinse and repeat, and you'll never have a problem finding something new to post.
