What's the first thing that comes to your mind when you see a swoosh or spot the golden arches on top of a building?

A Nike store or a McDonalds nearby, right?

After a point of time a company's logo becomes synonymous with its identity. You recognize the brand more by its logo.

Psychologically speaking, we humans have a natural affinity towards symbols and logos are nothing but symbols in a layman's language.

Every logo has a meaning or a message behind it (read more about it here) and says a lot about your brand. And in case you're planning to start your business soon, then keep these following points in mind while working on your logo:
  1. Avoid a multi-color logo, and if required only use two colors.
  2. Most brands use colors like blue, red, yellow, black or grey-scale. If you want you can experiment with colors and use colors that reflect your brand.
  3. Be careful with your choice of font.
  4. A complicated logo is hard for the people to relate to and remember so go for a simple logo.
Well, these are just a few but the most basic tips when it comes to logo designing and selection. But before you begin with this process do a thorough research of the market, your competitors and your target audience and only then begin with the logo designing.
