After our last post about the Project Glass, many of our non-developer background-readers were left disappointed (so was I). Reason pretty obvious, who doesn't wants to try these glasses on!

After the demonstration of the Project Glass during the Google I/O conference last year,  Google has been keeping quiet about the Project Glass but surprisingly, yesterday Google broke its vow of silence and revealed a lot more information about the Glass, through a series of photos and videos that were posted on the Project Glass website.

The images and video not only show how things are once you put the Google Glass on but also reveal some of its features and the UI. For starters, the Google Glass has a small screen right above the wearer's right eye as you can see in the image above.

Well, the photos only show how the Google Glass works, not much is still known about the hardware.

Strong and light.

Evolutionary design.
Charcoal, Tangerine, Shale, Cotton, Sky.

Here are some images that show how the Google Glass works:

One thing that I'm sure about is that after seeing these images and the video, the only thing you want is to own your own personal Google Glass. And yes you can! Google has decided to provide the Google Glass to non-developers. All you have to do is participate in a contest and explain Google in not more than 50 words, "What would you do if you had Glass?", using this hashtag #ifihadglass and share it on either Google+ or Twitter. The winners would get to purchase their own Google Glasses as soon as they are available at $1,500.

The contest closes on February 27. So what are you waiting for, hurry up and apply!

So are you excited about the Google Glass? Do let know if you're planning to participate in the contest in the comment section below.
