Recently when I heard about Google's Zerg Rush Easter egg, and teddy bears appearing on Picasa, I also learnt that I can actually play the good old game Snake on YouTube and Flight Simulator on Google Earth; I just couldn't resist checking out some more very interesting and playful Easter Eggs in Google.
I must say, this is by far the most fun I've had while compiling a list for our readers. These Easter Eggs will definitely make your day. :) Have a look:
Zerg Rush
If you've ever played Starcraft, then you will get this game right away. For those of us who are unfamiliar with this game will initially have a hard time trying to figure it out.
Typing 'Zerg Rush' on Google, will take you to a page where you will see a fleet of O's appearing quite rapidly on your screen. All you need to do is click on those Os invading your screen a couple of times, but you have to be fast, because those Os multiply pretty fast.
This may sound easy, but beware - it is deceptively addictive.
YouTube Snake
It all started with Google's Pac-Man game (which you can still play by the way) and when Easter approached, Google introduced the classic snake game which can played anytime while watching or streaming a video. This game plays on YouTube only, it will not work on embedded videos or videos with embedded adverts.
All you need to do is click on the screen which will pause the video, as soon as you click, press the left and top arrow key on your keyboard; simultaneously. And voila...you are good to go; if you are keen on playing only, then make sure you choose a video with a dark background.

Directions to Mordor
Google maps it seems, also has a sense of humor. If you visit Google Maps and try to get walking directions from Shire to Mordor, Google will be kind enough to give you a warning. "One does not simply walk into Mordor".
Do a Barrel Roll
It's as simple as it sounds, all you need to do is type in 'Do a Barrel Roll' in Google's search window. Rest, you will see for yourself.

Flight Simulator
This one is another fun game that can played on Google Earth. This is one of those few popular Easter Egg that has been made a permanent feature on Google Earth.
When you visit Google Earth, click on 'Tools' and then on 'Flight Simulator; you can also press Ctrl+Alt+A; you can choose if you wanna fly a F-16 or SR22. Trust me, you will thoroughly enjoy this flight around anywhere in the planet you like. Bon Voyage! :)
Tilt
Simply type 'Tilt' or 'Askew' on Google's search engine and tilt your head a little bit to see everything straight. Go ahead, check it out!
Binary
This Easter Egg is for all the geeks out there. Type in 'Binary' and you will see results in zeros and ones.
There is a similar Easter Egg for other numeral systems like octal and hexadecimal.
The Answer to Life, The Universe and Everthing
Just type in these words and Google will give you the answer that human kind has been searching for ages now; the answer to everything.
According to Google's calculator, the answer to everything is '42'. Why you ask?
Well, it has a rather funny story behind it which involves Douglas Adams, his book 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy' and a joke involving the number '42'. Check out the story here.
Google Reader Ninja
For those using Google Reader can summon a ninja to their page, but for that you will have to type in a combination of keys.
Tap: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B & A.
You will see a ninja pop onto your left navigation bar.
Picasa Teddy Bear
If you are using Google's Picasa, then you can work on those images with couple of teddy bears popping onto your screen. Try pressing 'Ctrl+Shift+Y'.
