We have a habit of featuring a lot of bizarre stuff on our blog from time to time, from bizarre gadgets to shoes, gift ideas to artists, alarm clocks to chairs  but this time we have the baap of all bizarre stuff for you.

We already know about the various types of body modification; piercing of any type, tattoos, ear shaping etc. but modifying one's forehead to look something similar to a bagel is one extreme type of body modification. The concept of bagel heads started in Japan and today has become a very popular fashion trend among the youngsters there.

Jerome Abramovitch, a Canadian photographer started these saline infusions at an extreme body modification conference called Modcon in 1999. National Geographic Channel recently featured this bizarre body modification procedure in one of the episode of the series 'Taboo' and since then the whole world is talking about this. This process involves injecting saline water into a person's forehead to form a bulge and then pressing it at the center with the thumb until it looks like a bagel. This procedure takes almost two hours and this modification lasts for 16-24 hours as the body absorbs the saline water over time and your forehead is back to normal the next day.
