At E-junkie.info we are pretty used to bizarre and unique materials used by artists all over the world to create one-of-a-kind work of art. But for the first time an artist has truly managed to take us by surprise. Fernando de la Rocque creates painting by blowing marijuana smoke onto his canvas.

He likes this call this project, 'Blow Job', a project where he creates paintings of religious icons and politicians. His inspiration and motivation for this project is his belief in decriminalizing marijuana. Here's what he shared in his press release:

"More important than freedom to smoke marijuana is the freedom to think about it and make art with it."

There is no doubt that such a project will trigger controversy, but Rocque is somewhat familiar with such situations. Not too long ago, he worked on a project, called 'The Golden Cockroaches'. A project where is painted these insects with gold and sold them. The purpose behind this project was to prove that the gold has the capability of turning the most repulsive thing into an attractive commodity. "I wanted to counteract this power to repel with the power that gold has to attract." he says.

Coming back to his latest project Blow Job, that opens on the 15th August at La Cucaracha gallery in Rio de Janeiro, he uses a technique in which he blows marijuana smoke onto stencils that are placed on a paper. It is quite clear as why he chooses to create images of politicians and religious icons; for maximum attraction and buzz. Have a look:
