There are many ways to share content from your blog with your readers on the plethora of social content sharing platforms available now be it on Facebook, Twitter, StumbleUpon or Pinterest, these being the top one's on my agenda. But how many of these readers are dedicated to reading your posts that you have shared with them on their social network channels? To get the answer to that you are best off checking out the stats for each of the channels.
Atomic Reach founded by serial entrepreneur Bradley Silver, is a new community of like minded readers who sign up and join "Tribes" which can best be described as a community of people who are interested in reading and discussing content that is focused at the niche or genre of that Tribe. Each Tribe has its own "Editors", who are the equivalent of admins and "Contributors", who are people who are authorized to post content on the tribe. Once a contributor adds content to the tribe its the responsibility of the Editor(s) to publish the post from its "Uncurated" state. The name of the website borrows heavily from the fact that the intent is for the content to go "Atomic" pretty much as widespread as an atomic explosion but with the positive propagation of useful information.
There are tons of other apps available to users to share content from various sources like an app to stream your Blogger posts, another to display your tribe on a facebook tab etc. You can see a list of all the apps available on Atomic Reach here. Apart from this Atomic Reach exposes a REST based API to its functionality and infact encourages its readers to create new applications to enhance the available functionality. You can get more information about developing an app for Atomic reach by contacting them at the given email id. They also make it very simple for the readers to show their tribes content on any website in the form of an "Orb" by providing an Orb app that is fully customizable on Atomic Reach and provides you with javascript code which when embedded on a website shows the tribe's content in the form of a widget. The thoughtful folks at Atomic Reach have also provided a analytics page which shows useful information like "Post Status" and "Info Type" regarding the articles in your tribe. 1. Hi Bradley, tell us something about yourself and Atomic Reach.
Atomic Reach is my third startup. I guess that makes me a serial tech entrepreneur. AR is a robust and cost-effective content curation platform used by brands to leverage the power of community and content to boost their search engine page-rankings, improve user engagement and generate incremental sales conversions. For micro-publishers and bloggers, breaking through the clutter, building an engaged audience and accomplishing financial success is equally difficult.
2. What was the inspiration for Atomic Reach?
One day, I was searching for content about a particular topic. I was quickly overwhelmed by the volume of information and the difficulty in figuring out what was reliable and credible. After many hours, I identified a network of bloggers who were creating highly insightful, entertaining and educational content. I started to think about my experience and what other consumers must be experiencing. It was clear these bloggers were thought leaders but they needed a platform to put their content in the spotlight. I then started thinking about it from a brand’s perspective. What was evident was that a shift in marketing practices was about to happen. I wanted to explore how the marriage between brands and bloggers could help transform brands into publishers so they could deliver engaging content to consumers while helping bloggers produce great content.

3. Can you explain to our readers how bloggers/writers can use Atomic Reach to increase the engagement with their readers and thus drive traffic to their blog/website?
The answer is twofold: our platform credits the originating author for their content, and it generates a pageview each time the article is clicked on/read.
For each brand, we build communities of bloggers, which we call Tribes, who opt in to participate in the service and the program. We’ve created tools that easily enable Tribe members to share each other's content, which gives them more content, readership and reach. Bloggers who are a part of our platform report an increase in traffic, new readers and time on site.

4. Can you explain how Atomic Reach is different from other services like Triberr.com?
Atomic Reach is a platform used by brands to connect with bloggers to deliver engaging content to their customers. We are unique because we’re a hybrid between content curation, community and a content marketing platform.
5. Since you are a new start-up, how have you promoted yourself? What are your views on promotion via the social media channels versus promotion via word-of-mouth mentions?
One of the elements that we love about our business is we are our own customer as much as we are platform developers. We are reliant on the platform to build our own business, and find Facebook and Twitter are easy and efficient methods to deliver lots of engaging content to our consumers. We also do a lot of blogger support and interaction to help them through the process. Through that and one-on-one relationships, we hope to make them evangelists who start spreading the word about what we’re doing.
6. You have exposed an API for developers to use. What sort of applications can developers create with the API? It would be great if you could give us a few examples.
We encourage developers to think creatively when using our API so they can build a range of applications such as content ingestion, publishing, mobile and analytics. We were at a hackathon recently where a developer built a Windows-based reader on our API in a single day. Some of our developers build apps in their spare time. This includes a new WordPress plugin that lets anyone with a Website or blog on WordPress to easily publish a new page that uses content from a particular Tribe.
7. What is the sort of reception that you have got from your users? What been the biggest compliment so far?
We try to make the platform as simple and intuitive as possible. Our bloggers have been great at providing feedback so we can improve the user experience. In many cases, bloggers using the platform see the benefits soon after joining such as more traffic, exposure and new readers.
You can read a blogger testimonial here.
8. When you are not working with stuff related to Atomic Reach, what activities do you like to indulge in personally? Your mantra for relaxation?
I’m a cyclist, I enjoy the thrill of racing. I love all the time I can get with my wife and kids.
9. What other entrepreneurs do you look up to personally? If you could spend some time with one of them who would it be and why?
I have an appreciation for all entrepreneurs and startups that have succeeded in VC markets.
10. What are your future plans for Atomic Reach? Where do you see Atomic Reach headed for in the future?
Right now, we’re externally focused on building our core business across North America, and internally focused on value-oriented IP for our brand clients and bloggers.
11. What advice would you like to give to aspiring and budding start-ups?
If somebody says it can’t be done, then you know it should be done. Get to market fast, learn how to filter and leverage as much advice to iterate quickly, and stay focused on your mission.
