So, finding such users is an important task to do, and also an important point to remember before following any user.

As you have already learnt that not all users will follow you back on Twitter, but if you take some time to choose the right users to follow then they will certainly follow you back. Some points to remember before following any user on Twitter are illustrated below,

1) See the Followers and Following count: - One of the main thing to do before choosing any user to follow is to have a detailed look at the number of people following that person whom you have chosen to follow, and also the number of people that person is following. 2) Follow only active members: - There are many users in Twitter who may have a passed the above mentioned criteria, but are inactive for a long period. So it’s better to follow members who has active within one week or less.

Avoiding Twitter follow limits

Twitter has an anti-spam measure called Follow Limits, which checks every Twitter account for spam activity and blocks that account temporarily. What this follow limit does is whenever your Followers count becomes very less than Following count, then Twitter will automatically impose a follow limit on your account and will prevent you from following any users further, until some users follows you on Twitter.

This follow limit is only applicable to the Following count on Twitter, and does not apply to the Followers count. This means that you can be followed by a huge number of people at once, but you can’t follow a large number of people at once.

To avoid this follow limit, you should always try to keep your Followers to Following ratio close to 1, so that your following count does not over exceed your followers count, otherwise you will be getting a follow limit by Twitter. If you hit the follow limit on Twitter, be check for users who haven’t followed you for days, remove them and wait for other people to follow you, this way the follow limit will be lifted from your Twitter account.
