Inkodye is a product brought to you by Lumi, a design team who like to bring new concepts into photography and textile printing. Inkodye is a paint that harnesses sun light to bring an image to life. You can use this paint on almost anything you like, be it a t-shirt or a lamp, your denims or scarf.

"Inkodye is used for photograms, shadow prints, painting, dyeing, silk-screening, batik and more! Works great on cotton, wood, suede, silk and other natural fibers." describes Lumi's website.

Basically, you paint the dye on to any surface, expose it to the sunlight (for about 8 minutes on a sunny day) and see those colors appear in matter of minutes. Inkodye is a kit that comes with 3 colors, and can be mixed to create different shades of colors. Check out this demo video below:





Personally, I think it is a fun concept through which you can give a life to a lot of DIY project ideas. I am already thinking about those old t-shirts that I refuse to throw away...it's time to show them some sunlight.
